“Soul Nourishment”

Life is busy for all of us. We often have good intensions of spending time alone with God, only to be discouraged when it doesn’t seem to happen. Through the years in my journey with God, I have found that if I neglect the care and nourishment of my soul, I am not the person I want to be, nor the person God has called me to be. It can be an issue of an over-crowded schedule, a matter of mixed-up priorities, or simply that we don’t have any idea how to “take care of” our soul or where to begin.

We are to follow the Lord’s commands with all our heart and soul, Deuteronomy 26:16, the Word of God penetrates our soul and spirit, Hebrews 4:12, and we are to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, and soul, Matthew 22:37. We are unable to do these things without caring for our soul. A healthy soul depends on our connection with God. Our soul is alive, it is of great value, and it forms the very foundation of who we are.

Learning to take care of my soul has been a life-long journey, in this session we will discover ways you can nourish your soul and enjoy the presence of God even in the craziness of daily life.

Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart (Soul) for everything you do flows from it.”
